1. Make sure your computer is on and your desktop and startbar have both loaded up on the screen. On the start-bar click the "Start" button (Depending on theme it might be the round "Windows" logo) from there select "All Programs" and then find the directory named "Accessories" and once your in the Accessories directory select the sub-directory named "System Tools" and then in this directory the "Disk Defragmenter" tool should be listed, double click it.

2. If you followed the instructions below the Windows 7 Disk Defragmenter tool should now be open on your screen like the image below.

3. Select what drives you want to have defraged. If you want any specifc drive to be defraged select it, otherwise leave all the disks seleceted, and then click "Defragment Disk" to start the disk defrag.
